IPv6 Network Management Tutorial #2

This tutorial is aimed at network administrators, particularly those working in NOCs, and will provide practical training on all aspects of IPv6 deployment and management. Much of the programme will be hands-on, working through configuration examples for the most commonly-used network equipment.
Those wishing to attend should be already involved with network management and have a basic knowledge of IPv6. All sessions will be in English.

Wednesday, 24 November (14.00-18.00), Thursday, 25 November 2004 (09.00-18.00) & Friday, 26 November 2004 (09.00-13.00)
- Host configuration laboratory
- Addressing, including case studies
- Routing: IS-IS, OSPFv3 and BGP
- Routing laboratory
- Recommendations on deployment of IPv6 in campus and backbone environments.
- ACLs and firewall settings
- ACL configuration laboratory
- Applications/services: DNS, Web, SMTP etc..
- Application setup laboratory
- Network management: use of network management tools
- Network management laboratory
